MEASI Academy has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to work with WESTMINSTER UNIVERSITY, LONDON, U.K for collaborative research, students and staff exchange, for providing global exposure. Another, Memorandum of Understanding with UNIVERSITY in MALAYSIA is under process. This would help the students and staff to get exposure to application of technologies prevalent in Architectural field elsewhere. MEASI Academy of Architecture has become a name to reckon with in Architecture education. The highlight of MEASI’s academic excellence is participation of more than 35 practicing Architects and allied Professional in core academic activities, thus giving our students the opportunity to get core competence to face real life situation later.


MEASI Academy of Architecture started imparting quality education leading to B.ARCH from 1999, as standalone institution, affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by Council of Architecture, New Delhi. Keeping in mind the challenges of urban growth and development which throws open an array of lucrative jobs in Real Estate Development sector, the M.ARCH – REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT program, only one of its kind in our country is successfully being conducted from the year 2008. B.E-CIVIL AND B.ARCH graduates are eligible for admission to the Real

Estate program. They become entrepreneurs, occupy key position in development companies and consulting activities in India and elsewhere in the globe. The third program is M.ARCH (general) for which only the B.Arch graduates are eligible. The vision of the Academy includes To acquire education and training at national and international level so as to become globally competent. To develop their overall personality and to make them possess the urge to serve the society at large. In addition, securing the academy the status of an international centre of excellence, in the field of architecture. Towards achieving the said vision our college students go for apprenticeship at various Architects office all over India, and a few students did take their apprenticeship training for one semester outside India. A ten day live-in rural habitat study provides an unique opportunity for students, a vivid picture of rural environment and life style and the cultural ethos of our country. In addition an occasional program on “Rethinking Architecture”, 10 days summer school was organized at Lincoln University, U.K, in which 20 students MEASI attended the program during 2013-14.

The students of MEASI Academy of Architecture have obtained Anna University ranks continuously from the first batch to date 2014, besides wining many all India competitions for Architecture students. The achievements are possible due to highly qualified and committed faculty members drawn from wide range of specialization with masters / doctorate obtained from many of top institutions from India,

Netherlands and U.K., and the presence of professional practioners with vast International experience. The emphasis based on constant updating of teachers skill and knowledge through participation in National and International and publications of papers in reputed journals, besides pursuing higher studies leading to masters and Ph.D., adds to academics strength.


The close interaction with Council of Architecture and Anna University enables the academy to deliver the best of architectural education to students. That makes our students to be well received in the professional field and institution of higher education in India, U.K, U.S.A, Netherlands, etc., which speaks of calibre of our output. The Academy keeps the academic objectives constantly moving ahead of time which has helped MEASI to create a ‘niche’ of its own. University of Bradford, U.K, Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen and Education Matters presented “The Engineering Educators Award” to MEASI Academy of Architecture for exemplary commitment and impactful positive contribution to the education sector, in the presence of Mr. Mike Nithavrianakis, British Deputy High Commissioner, Chennai.
